Making progress?

June 7th, 2006
The only way the mission statement "Saving our Planet one Fish at a Time" slogan is going to mean anything ..... is when it's true meaning and purpose is understood as a universal call to mankind to conserve nature ... Aquariums embody the essence of the futile failures and attempts by mankind to replace nature with substitute inventions or artificially create nature while destroying it at the same time ..... the problem is that humans won't succeed in replacing something that preceded mankind and took billions of years to evolve .... Man creates justification and false knowledge that is merely a figment of mankind's imagination .... while nature is grounded in the truth and reality of touch and feel and smell and see and hear ... a fox and a rabbit ... a worm and a bird ... a flower and a bee ...... PURE Mankind hears no evil, sees no evil and does no evil ... we are (at least in our minds) above all life and we create rational fiction such as religion to justify our sins and overpopulation and we create communism to deny the hard truth of limited resources and we create capitalism to justify a totally irrational and destructive methodology dedicated and addicted to consumption and resulting in self-destruction instead of the preservation of life and the natural resources that ALL life depends on to live. The human family not unlike fish families are made up of species know to us as "races" ... human species as all living things by natures design .... reproduce ... except that like an alien species of fish imported to a habitat with no natural predators that will destroy that habitat ....... mankind's only natural predator is mankind and while either consuming or attempting to kill each other for consumption related resources ... mankind destroys all surrounding life ..... mankind is in fact genetically murderous and suicidal ... and definitely not an original part of natures flawless design .... or is mankind a flaw of nature? .... More likely mankind is some organism .... alien to the planet that was introduced on a meteorite billions of years ago. Much like a fish introduced to a pond half way around the planet from whence it evolved. An aquarium teaches us what we don't know and what we can't overcome .. and much more about preservation and conservation and environment and ecology ...... aquarium keeping is the purest form of "religious" worship... .. it is worshiping nature and it's spiritual reward is a better understanding of life and the mysteries that remain to be solved to preserve life on our planet and in a bowl. Heavy stuff? Too heavy for you? Well get real and accept it ..... it's the truth, it's actual even tho not satisfactual :-) more to follow ... "Saving our Planet one Fish at a Time"

Heaven

June 2nd, 2006

What is heaven for an aquarium enthusiast?

For me it's 4,000 square feet to play in ..... and I'm looking for a select group of hobbyists to help charter a private aquarium club within this space. The location is Morris county exit 44n/45s off of interstate 287 .... to do it right I expect that club dues etc will average upwards of $100 per month ... but a lot depends on the number of members ... the fewer the members the more costly the club overhead per member .... in the beginning it will probably be a few hundred a month .... although there could be a lower cost category for out of area members with a subscription to the club newsletter and some purchasing benefits etc I expect to give 24/7 swipe card access and have a security system installed ..... charter members would be carefully screened prior to acceptance ..... charter members would also get the benefit of any substantial increase in non-charter members dues down the road for taking the brunt of the start-up costs on their backs and helping to launch the club. As a reward for charter members I imagine a locked in dues structure or a even a lowering of dues if the club becomes popular. Some of what I want to do includes a wet bar, pool table, card table, library, research lab, wireless computer network, HDTV etc etc and the ability for members to host a limited number of small private gathering such as a birthday party..... the space would contain livestock for members breeding projects as well as biotope displays ..... but it should be a place to relax and socialize and read or whatever ... Also as a perk members would have access to club maintained equipment ..... such as probes, diatom filters and other expensive space consuming apparatus. Livestock and equipment & supplies would be available at wholesale cost to members via the business side of my operation. That's a brief overview and there's some more information posted on theFisharium.com news blog. it's conceptual at this point and I would expect members to contribute ideas and suggestions as to what the club ultimately becomes .... heaven on earth ;-)
